Membership Criteria

Gujarat Educational Tour Operators' Association (GETOA)

To become a member of GETOA, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Registered Business

The applicant must be a registered tour operator or travel agency with valid licenses and permits to operate the agency.

2. GST Certificate

The member agency should provide GST certificate to the Association.

3. Focus on Education

The agency must specialise or have a strong portfolio in educational tours, student trips, or school excursions aimed at promoting learning and personal development.

4. Safety Protocols

The agency must demonstrate adherence to robust safety measures, including first aid certification for guides, safety training, and a well-documented safety plan for tours/camps/picnics.

5. Professional Conduct

The agency must maintain a positive reputation in the industry with no history of malpractice, fraud, or violations of safety standards.

6. Compliance with Government Regulations:

The agency must adhere to all state and national laws related to tourism, transportation, safety, and education.

7. Insurance Coverage

Comprehensive travel insurance covering student participants, staff, and agency personnel must be in place.

8. Compliance with GETOA Rules & Regulations:

The agency must follow all the rules of the association and must follow GETOA’s safety guidelines.
